As someone who grew up steeped in the culture you speak of, you have articulated what I have been feeling since the pandemic. I finally felt the manufacturedness of all the "persecution" and have not found solace in faith since. It started feeling like the cop out it so often is. Thank you for sharing these thoughts.

Thank you for this detailed information. It is always fun to see all of these insane moronic beliefs and is the highlight of my day as a source of humor. I laugh for hours at these idiots.

You must remember the “evangelicals” in this context don’t actually model how followers of Christ should behave. The US “evangelical” movement could be considered an apostasy perhaps. As a follower of Christ I do not and cannot identify with the US evangelical version of Christianity.

Thank you for sharing this insight. I’ve long thought about the “end times” and came to the conclusion that for all of us the “end times” is personal… our death and that no one can escape that deadline. This push to “aid God’s timeline is another version of drinking Jim Jones’ kool aid!

Reading Revelations, you can see that the end of times start with antichrist luring away a lot of Christians forcing them to wear his sign on their forehead Rev. 13:16-17.

Wearing their MAGA hats they call out to their saviour Trump. I'd say it's a sign that the end of the times is near.

Remember, for God, a day is a thousand years and a thousand years is a day, so don't expect anything soon.

And for more good fun, check out the picking of the pope. When I was young, the old Italian men had a way of telling you that you were worthless, “Beling di Papa” Which translates to: “You are as useless as the pecker on The Pope.”

Their version of manifestation. It’s so fucked up.

I remember those Left Behind booklets. My grandma passed them out to everyone she came into contact with.
